Why Celebrities Love Candles and Aromatherapy

Imagine yourself in your tub, enjoying the caressing coolness or warmth of water and its soft feel on your skin. And all over you, the soothing fragrance of scented candles, illuminating the place with their special glow. Now, don’t you feel pampered and glamorous like those movie stars and celebrities we watch on screen?

Actually, you don’t need oodles of money to pamper yourself once in a while with what we call aromatherapy, after a trying day in the office or your kids at home. All you have to do is purchase some of those scented candles which come in all shapes and sizes.

Worry free bath

You have the votive candle variety floating in a bowl of fragrant water flowers with the most heavenly scent to complete the picture. What about piped in music in the background while you bask in the fragrance of aromatherapy and the momentary luxury of a bubble bath?

Close your eyes and feel your taut nerves and  tired mind relax and float with your dreams, feel the ache leave your back and arms and limbs as the magic of a  warm bath and scented atmosphere, relieve you of your worries, anxieties and all the accumulated stress of everyday.

Younger and more alert

This is one of the secrets of the staying power of our celebrities.  Despite a hectic schedule, they will find time to relax, de stress and detoxify not only their bodies, but their mind as well. A beauty secret that is tried and tested, for nothing beats  arrested, relaxed mind and body to project a  more serene, younger looking and definitely more mentally alert you!

The advantage of aromatherapy over most beauty and wellness programs is it is within almost everyone’s reach. You don’t need expensive creams, soaps and other unaffordable procedures to erase, even temporarily those tired lines from your face and various aches in your body.

Peace and quiet

Even minus the bath, you can still enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy for as long as you have a quiet atmosphere and all those scented paraphernalia to soothe and relieve you of stress and anxieties of the day. Another benefit that most insomniacs would derive from aromatherapy is its lulling power that can induce you to sleep. A word of caution though, do not go for strong overpowering scents. They will fail to give you the kind of relaxation your mind and body need.  Go for the sweet, lingering flower scented aroma that soothes and relaxes.

Blow out the candles

Another thing, do not fall asleep with all your candles lighted. You might wake up to find yourself in another overheated, over lighted place with dancing demons in attendance. Once overcome by drowsiness, it’s time to blow off those candles and turn on the night lamp for your nightcap.

Next time you see one of the movie stars neck deep in bubble bath in a film,  she may be truly enjoying what she is doing, relaxing with all her favorite scents enveloping her while shooting a scene. Cool, isn’t it?
